Blog Tour #Review & #Giveaway – Broken Hearts by Ioana Visan

Title:Broken Hearts

Series:Broken People, Book #2

Author:Ioana Visan

Genre:Science Fiction, Cyberpunk

When life breaks you, you pick up the pieces and move on.

As The Nightingale Circus begin a quest to deliver a power source that has the potential to change the outcome of the war in the Far East, their efforts are thwarted when Nicholas is apprehended by French authorities.

Meanwhile, Dale stays in Bratislava to protect Aurore and her power source. When the largest weapons manufacturer in Europe discovers her secret, the chase is on.

With a tracker hot on their heels, Dale and Aurore struggle to stay one step ahead. Their dangerous journey takes them across Europe and leads them to the only ones who can help them – The Nightingale Circus.

The world revolving around The Nightingale Circus is truly a fascinating one. The circus “freaks” as some might call them, with their prosthetic enhancements and awe-inspiring acts, the Nightingale with her secrets and mesmerizing voice, the hibernating owner, and the telecharger turned magician manager, along with those who gravitate around them, the Golden Lady, Dale, the former soldier turned bodyguard/world savior make for a colorful, interesting, and dark mix of characters.

2015 Broken Hearts

Each with their pasts and futures, they are pushed together by adventurous circumstances – the apprehension of Nicholas leaves the circus without a manager and short of one of their family, while Aurore is hunted for her unique enhancements and the power source that’s powering them.

Embark for a wild chase around Europe, with impossible heists planned where the item to be stolen is a prisoner, and a mad dash to save the Golden Lady for her powerful pursuers. All happens while a war is tearing the world apart and survival is more difficult for everyone. Rumors, fears, and constant fear drive the world where the circus is supposed to be an escape.

Ioana Visan’s dystopian world, where everything is about to implode, is a fascinating one. Unique characters and crazy adventures will keep you on edge throughout. It will be thrilling, sweet at times, bewildering, and quite the trip through a version of Europe you find fascinating, yet hope to never see in real life.

I strongly recommend you start with the first book to get a better perspective on the world Ioana creates, her characters, and most of all, the Nightingale Circus.
