Come to a land…

Where epic battles rage…

Among monsters, superheroes, and a very sexy cop.

Love and war are funny business in Hollywood, U.S.A.

I absolutely loved this story! It’s funny, sweet, and the comic book type of effects (think Kaboom! and Pow and the likes) were the cherry on top. I am a big Eric Gober fan and every time he makes me love his stories and characters more. The pairing of a cop with an actor dressing up as a super hero is brilliant. They both wear uniforms, but the best part is the cop’s role in defending the superhero from the monsters chasing him in Hollywood.

PinkertonManThe Pinkerton Man

A blackmailer forced Stiles to leave his perfect life behind.

Along the way, he found a new friend, a job as a Pinkerton Agent, and murder.

Can Stiles find the murderer before he kills again?

This is the perfect short to set up an upcoming novel! A historical mystery is just what this anthology needed. I am a sucker for crime shows, so Stiles’ chase of a serial killer was spot on. And the partner revealed at the very end was such a clever twist! I loved it and can’t wait for the novel.

ProtectTheExMission: Protect the Ex

Sean never thought his military career would ever have him babysitting his ex who Sean hasn’t seen in six months.

When best friend Tom finds out his younger brother Aiden is targeted, Sean drops everything to protect the man he still loves.

Can two former lovers survive a weekend alone in the woods, or will the threat from within be more devastating than the one from outside?

No review here for obvious reasons 😀

SparkInTheShadowsA Spark in the Shadows

Love beckons Officer Warden Brooks to the shadows of a desolate place.

But his lover Tate Eldridge is so much more than a criminal, he’s a beautiful mystery.

This was one paranormal tale I just devoured. Warden and Tate make such an odd pair, you can’t help but fall under their spell. What would generally be characters fighting on opposing sides find their way to each other through a dark and mysterious world of supernaturals. Its a story about finding love, but above all, finding a home.

HHHHHis Heart Held Hostage

When his father loses the battle against Hrafnaheim, Prince Darius finds himself a political prisoner.

Taken in chains to a dark and unfamiliar land, he begins to lose hope.

But then Captain Morten Gunnarsson of the Palace Guards is assigned to watch over him.

Now it is not just Darius’ body being held hostage, but also his heart.

This story has a historical feel and a quite interesting plot. A political prisoner, Prince Darius is initially thrown into the dungeons of his new home. With the help of a wise and kindhearted queen, he finds his way to a better life, someone to love, and everything he’s ever wanted. A beautifully told tale that you can’t help sighing at while reading.

EmperorsSlaveThe Emperor’s Slave

When the Draaduuri arrived on Earth many humans died.

Captain Timothy Kellerman’s family was among them

Now, a truce has been struck. He is the prize.

Crown Prince Yuuhaan has instantly bonded with his slave.

Can the prince keep his baser instincts in check long enough for Timothy to transform?

To become the next great hope of the Draaduuri and the human race?

A very interesting take on the concept of mates in a science fiction setup, and a nice progression from enemies to lovers. I loved Eddy’s tale of an invading alien and the human rebel who’s been fighting his kind since he was a child. A great read for scifi lovers with a touching love story.

Go to Portsmouth, said my friends. It’s quieter. You’ll be able to write without distraction.

They obviously hadn’t met my mysterious and elusive neighbour, Finn.…

After all, what would a Friday night be without hearing Moaner, Gusher, or Squeaker screaming out their joy at being shagged senseless by the obviously talented Finn?

Come to think of it, what would a Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday night be without it either?

Thank God for Mondays!

Lily’s tale was one that I couldn’t read without laughing like a lunatic. The story is so funny, her writer main character is so relatable, and his stalking of Finn and his many lovers so amusing and endearing, you won’t be able to put this down until you reach the very end. The marine twist was extremely clever and just what this story needed to make sure we can clearly picture a future HEA.

FirefighterMarineThe Firefighter and the Marine

Apartment building fires are always tragic, even if everyone makes it out alive. But what happens when a person can’t make it out on their own?

Brave firefighters must risk their lives in order to rescue trapped people.

Lieutenant Kenny Whitfield is one such firefighter. Brave and somewhat reckless.

Lance Corporal Steve Martinson is one such person in need.

When Kenny and Steve meet face to face in the hospital, well…

Kenny and Steve’s tale was a beautiful story about bravery, finding the right one, and knowing how to treat him once you’ve found him. The fire where they meet – Kenny save’s Steve’s life and they once again run into each other in the hospital, the attempted gay bashing, their fears, and the Native American powwow, these are all a series of event and trials meant to bring these two closer together and it works perfectly.

BlueKnightBlue Knight

Franc has resigned himself to yet another year of pain and humiliation in order to complete his on ship training.

Then along comes Zyph, with his sexy blue skin and probing questions…

Will he be Franc’s Blue Knight?

This was one science fiction story I thoroughly enjoyed! Another take on the soul mate idea where the two males are part of different species, a story of horrible abuse, and finally a way out for Franc once his Blue Knight enters the scene. The politics of this multiracial world, the discriminating, violent team Franc works with, and the lack of respect or fear they show make the story gritty and real. It’s something I can really see our current society evolving into if we don’t try a little harder.

RoyalGuardianThe Royal Guardian

Warrior and Dragon Seek to Destroy Those Who Had Dared Harm Their Prince.

This was an interesting mix of science fiction and fantasy. A world where magic and high tech are perfectly blended together, giving birth to a magical tale of the future. Jo’s symbiotic dragons, the mix of space travel and magical short cuts through the universe, and the love story between the prince and his protector make this a great read.
