Stories included + Review

Before we starts, I should say I’ve loved this anthology. It’s a great mix of contemporary and fantasy/paranormal, and even sci-fi, each story bringing a new twist to the BDSM theme of the anthology. It took me by surprise to see how different every story could be, yet stick to the same basic theme of cuffs, collars, and all the kink you could think of.

Layla Dorine

The last thing Flint expected upon discovering a homeless young man rummaging through the dumpster behind his shop was a kindred spirit.

The last thing Trace expected to find in that dumpster was a home.

I loved everything about this story, from the play on words in the title to the actual events. The slow progression of Trace and Flint’s relationship, the bit of hero worshiping mixed into Trace’s attraction, the way they both fell into a new dynamic, flourishing at the same time, it all worked perfectly.

Aimee Brissay

To safe or not to safe?

That is the question.

Aimee’s story caught me from the moment she revealed what they was going to write for this anthology. The “no safe word” scenario meant a tricky premise, and a hot one at the same time. The story was even better than I could have imagined, and the possibilities left open give me hope these characters might be back sometime in the future. Despite my hopes, the story doesn’t feel at all like it didn’t resolve its premise, while still giving you a slice-of-life feel.

Lily Velden

Jack wanted to dabble in some light BDSM, looking for a little role play. A little role-reversal.

Rhys took to their games like a duck to water.

I just loved the situation Lily Velden explored in this short story. BDSM is something a lot of people might find fun and arousing to play with. But sometimes, when couples adopt it, the situation might change, they might require different things, and it can lead to very real conflicts. How Jack and Rhys deal with this and whether they solve their problem or it ends them, that you will have to find out for yourselves.

Alina Popescu

A moody and angry Tudor follows his friend, Radu, to the airport to pick up a client.

Despite Radu’s efforts, he’s still sulking over his boyfriend, Kahoni, not being able to fly over for his birthday.

But the airport only opens up the door to a stream of steamy surprises for Tudor. Will his mood improve?

*Points you nicely to other blogs where you can find reviews of this story. For obvious reasons :D*

Kassandra Lea

Samuel wants to play with his favorite toy and Flynn is only too willing to oblige.

But first, he has a little treat for his delectable angel.

This is one of the two stories exploring the theme of angels and sinning through lust in this anthology.  The question is, is it still lust because it’s kinky and hot, or is it something more? And if it’s more, is it still a sin? Is it worth falling for? I loved the premise and enjoyed how the story unfolded, so make sure you don’t skip on this one.

Carol Pedroso

Exiled and lonely, Sorl longs for home.

Kidnapped, blind, and scared, Unjarf seeks help of any kind.

When they meet can love bring rescue, hope, and most importantly new sight?

Nothing like an interracial (and I do mean humans and aliens) sex club to help two soul mates find each other. Especially when one was exiled from his home world, and the other has been kidnapped. I loved that Sorl and Unjarf had a chance to interact with each other, form a connection, before the insta-love element kicked in. You might guess it’s coming, but because of the relationship already established, it’s not out of place.

Eddy LeFey

Robert is floundering, trying to get his life back together.

Daniel offers to help, to teach Robert what it means to truly let go of control, in order to be able to seize it again.

Life truly is a…. switch.

This was a very interesting story, exploring abuse, love, guilt, and the never quite completed quest of discovering one’s true nature. It had its share of kink, thrill, dark and touching moments, and they all blended together nicely. Very enjoyable read!

Asta Idonea

When Taharial, angel of purity, descends to Hell to reprimand him, lust demon Asmodeus cannot resist having a little fun with his unwanted guest.

However, when he chains Taharial to his bed, events take a turn he didn’t expect.

Demon Asmodeus and angel Taharial discover chains are a great way of stimulating their lust for each other. Taharial is no common angel. He is, of all things, an angel of purity. How will Heaven react when they find out he hasn’t succumbed to his need for Asmodeus once, but several times? As said earlier, I love this angel and demon theme and how it explores sin, lust, and what really drives one to risk everything for a few stolen moments of pleasure.  I also enjoy a read that tests the bounds of who and where can fall in love. And with whom! I love unlikely couplings, and I do have a thing for blurring the lines between good and evil, because there’s a lot of gray in paranormal worlds.
